Have you ever explored the Largest Desert of Dubai, covering 10% of the land? Arriving at Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve after a 45-50 minute ride from the hotel in a modern air-conditioned vehicle, we shall hop on to the Vintage G Class Mercedes 1980s for a ride over the desert.

During our 30-40 minute drive, admiring the beauty of the huge dunes, halt midst the desert for a photo stop, observing the UAE’s National Tree, Al Ghaf, and plants like Al Ashkhar. Here you have the perfect opportunity to learn about Dubai, its history, and the significance of desert plants in traditional Bedouin life. We shall be lucky to see wild creatures like Arabian Oryx, Falcon, and more while touring the desert in our open automobile while hanging on to the rods.
As we arrive at the authentic Bedouin Village, at sunset, enjoy a traditional Emirati welcome with Arabic coffee, luqaimat, and dates, followed by a visit to the underground cooking station for seeing the preparations. If interested, join us on our gastronomic adventure and have it ready when we return from the camel ride after enjoying a spectacular sunset by riding a camel caravan into the middle of nowhere.

Upon arriving at the Bedouin Village, which is built with natural materials such as goat hair and is located in the heart of the desert oasis in Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve, after sunset, we sit down to enjoy a traditional Emirati 3-course meal beginning with an appetizer and ends with a dessert.

Later we learn about the spices and handcrafts used by the Bedouins to make a living; participate in activities such as Henna tattoos and Arabian makeovers; and watch the ladies prepare luqaimat, the man roast coffee, and more while sipping soft beverages and listening to their true-life stories.
Use this opportunity to know more and perform the national Emirati dance for men, commonly known as yulla, and the ladies khaliji na’shat dance. As the evening comes to a close, participate in an astronomy session, learning more about how the bedouins used stars for navigation and story-telling. As the camp lights are turned off at the end, experience the true essence of the desert followed by stargazing with a Telescope.
