This new permanent exhibition interprets the archaeology of the Al Ain oases through archaeological finds from the site and various media. Al Jahili Fort, one of the largest forts in the United Arab Emirates, was built in the late 19th century by Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa (Zayed the great). At Jahili Fort you’ll step back in time to explore a beautifully preserved example of traditional Arabian architecture. This fort features imposing mud-brick walls and iconic watchtowers, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich history. This recreational area was one of the last projects of the Sheikh Zayed, UAE first president and founding father.
