Sharjah Fort is a double story traditional rock, coral and adobe fortification in the centre of the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The fort was originally constructed in 1820 by the then Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi.Step inside this historic landmark to learn about the modern history of Sharjah, the ruling family, the history of the fort, the historic defence strategies and Sharjah’s life 196 years ago.
